Meet your new therapist, coach and cheerleader
Hi I am Rochelle
As seen in
Experienced online counsellor based in the Bury St. Edmunds area
Since the pandemic, I have become qualified as a telephone counsellor and currently conduct all sessions in this way. I believe clients have the innate ability to resolve their own challenges, however the world often is not conducive to allowing the space and time for healing, thus in the sacred space I create, I utilise a client-led way of working, supporting you through each stage and holding you accountable if and when required. Based in Bury St. Edmunds, I serve clients throughout the UK.
I’m an integrative counsellor and member of the BACP.
For the last five years I have counselled many people, providing a sacred space for my clients to explore their presenting issues in the highest confidence, with non judgemental acceptance and unconditional positive regard. This has allowed them to explore and unpack challenges faced and facilitated them to understand who they are, who they would like to be and to better align with the person they desire to be.
I specialise in trauma/PTSD, racial identity and BPD (EUPD).
I specialise in supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. My approach addresses:
•Self-Esteem and Identity: Self-esteem issues, identity crises, racial and cultural identity support (including Mixed race & multi-ethnic identities), gender dysphoria, and LGBTQIA+ concerns.
•Trauma and Stress: Trauma recovery, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), racial trauma, and support for victims of mental, physical, and coercive abuse.
•Mood and Personality Disorders: Mood disorders, personality disorders (including borderline personality disorder), anxiety disorders like OCD, and other complex emotional states.
•Addiction and Abuse: Counselling for addiction and recovery from abuse, including specialised support for victims of revenge porn.
•Life Transitions: Counselling through significant life events, including bereavement, pregnancy, divorce, homelessness, and personal crises.
•Personal Growth and Well-Being: Fostering self-awareness, mental fitness, self-care, goal-setting, accountability, and safeguarding in a non-clinical mentorship and coaching format.
My work draws from a diverse set of therapeutic tools, including:
•Humanistic (Person-Centred) Therapy: Following Rogers’ principles of empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard.
•Attachment Theory: Understanding how early attachment shapes relationships and self-perception.
•Jungian Techniques: Exploring the psyche through images, metaphors, and symbols.
•Psychosexual and Psychosocial Approaches: Addressing the intersections of sexuality, identity, and psychological well-being.
•Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Developing skills to manage thoughts, behaviours, and emotions.
•Gestalt and Phenomenological Approaches: Emphasising present-moment awareness and personal meaning-making.
Through this integrative approach, I help clients tap into their innate intelligence, fostering personal growth and resilience across all areas of life.
